This tourist’s attraction has now become very famous for its manufacturing of miniature ships model. Drive towards Curepipe , one of the island’s main cities; stop at Trou aux Cerf ,a dormant volcano covered with lush vegetation, then move towards the sacred lake of Grand Bassin, a significant place of worship for Hindus in Mauritius. Later, take in the breathtaking Black River Gorges panoramic view down the road towards Chamarel you will have a superb view over le Morne peninsula. Follow by lunch at le Chamarel Restaurant where you will enjoy the panoramic view of le Morne. Then the tour ends with a visit to the spectacular-colored earths of Chamarel and its waterfalls.

]]> Enjoy a guided tour in Port-Louis, the capital of Mauritius where you will see the new and the old city with some wonderful French colonial buildings especially the government house, Museum and Municipal Theatre and the market of Port Louis. The capital of Mauritius is the ideal place to visit with its exotic fish and rainbow of locally grown vegetables, spices, fruits, saree, t-shirts, handmade baskets, wooden traditional handicraft products, local jewelries and souvenirs. You can easily spend over an hour exploring and taking pictures of the place. Not very far from the market, will you be exposing to the luxury mall of Le Caudan Waterfront where well known brand shops are waiting for your visit. A variety of shops, booths, craft market, food court and restaurants are available at the Caudan waterfront with an endless view on the sea and the port. Leaving the capital to proceed to the Botanical Garden the home to an outstanding amount of tropical plants of which many of them are indigenous and are over 100 year old. The garden is recognized by naturalists across the world for its collection of exotic plants.

Then proceed to Port-Louis, the island’s capital and most populated city, which integrates the past and present of the island with such attractions as the Citadel, a British Army military bastion built in the 19th century with a walled courtyard and a sweeping vista of Port-Louis. The Caudan waterfront complex is also the ideal location for brand-name and homemade souvenir shopping. Following our visit to Port Louis, we continue on to Chateau de Labourdonnais for a sumptuous lunch. Cap Malheureux is the ideal place to cap off the voyage. This tiny village has beautiful landscapes. Take in the peaceful ambiance and the old red-roofed church.
